Shameless Plug

I love photography. Just as much as I love making pictures, I love reading the history of it, talking to others about it, meeting others who are way better at it than I am and above all looking at the photographs themselves. I come across hundreds of websites or blogs dedicated to photography and find great photos to look at.

But I could (and have) come across great pictures at flea markets, garage sales and even lying face down on a sidewalk somewhere.That's why I started a new blog (Photos Found) and meant to start it a while ago but along with starting grad school, being lazy, getting married, and more laziness, I'm just getting around to it.

I won't display just any photo that comes my way. It either has to strike me aesthetically or simply make me laugh.

Found Magazine was a nugget of inspiration but the idea hit me six years ago when I came across a picture on the sidewalk in my neighborhood in Chicago. It was a picture of a family celebrating their son's baptism. It was timeless, recognizable and above all, sweet.
